What is Full Moon Gong Meditation?
Everything you see around you is vibrating at a frequency, whether we hear it or not. Just like the gravitational pull of the moon affects the tides and water within our bodies, sound frequencies can affect us on a cellular level, even influencing how we feel and function. Sound healing practices like Gong Meditation (also referred to as Gong Bath) uses vibrational sound and frequency to help reduce stress, alter consciousness, and create a deep sense of peace and well-being for better health.
To greater amplify the healing effectiveness of Gong Meditation, all you need to add is intention and the energy of the full moon.
During the Full Moon Gong Meditation's, there will be a seated meditation, incorporating mantra, pranayama, short kriya and mudra to prepare the mind and body for the healing vibrations of the Gong. Then lying down in relaxation an affirmation (sankalpa) can be acknowledged during the led practice of Yoga Nidra, which will lead into the Gong Bath; inviting the seeds of our intentions to grow and manifest. Just bring your presence and willingness to let go and surrender, allowing the healing properties of the Gong to revive your heart and spirit.
The Gong strengthens the parasympathetic nervous system, tunes up the glandular system and slows the brain waves down, creating sound conditions for deep relaxation and healing. The deep reverberating sound pulsates the body through resonance to help calm the mind, body and regulate the immune system.
The Gong also has an accumulative healing effect on the mind, body and spirit, inviting clarity, vibrancy, intuition and awareness to resonate within our being.
