Fifth Body - Physical Body

In the teachings of Kundalini Yoga, the human being has 10 bodies not 1. Each body has its own attributes, and the 5th body is the physical body.

Fifth Body: Physical Body

The sacred, living, human form that houses the soul, through which enlightenment and service to humanity are manifested


Qualities: Sacrifice, balance, teacher. The strength and balance to guide and elevate others.


Key phrase: “Be Balanced and Teach”


Mastery: Represent the teacher who is able to take abstractions and explain them to anyone; ability to balance all parts of your life without extremes like laziness or fanaticism. Realise that your physical body is a vehicle through which the other bodies find expression; then use your vitality to meet others at their level and elevate them by sharing the technologies of consciousness


If imbalanced and weak - angry, jealous, greedy, fatigued, and ungrateful; lack of equilibrium between inner and outer experience; poor verbal expression; feelings that the body can’t support your needs; fear of teaching. If too strong, obsession with physical appearance, physical abilities and the material world.


Key to Balancing: Develop a routine that keeps the body strong and flexible; extend your energy to elevate others by teaching the sacred methods that support the health of body, mind, and spirit.


Each of the ten bodies relate specifically to the qualities of one of the ten Sikh gurus.

Question to ask the Fifth body?

How can I further appreciate my own strength while I’m sharing it with others?


FEELING

In a challenge position, this can manifest as an inconsistent person. Since number 5 likes change so much and hates routine, this may manifest as a person who does many things without mastering any. They may feel confined by other people or environments. They have to learn that true freedom is found within oneself.

This person may seem over concerned with the physical body, clothing, etc. They are not sure how to use their energy, proving too active sometimes and too sedentary at other times. They really want to relate to other people since number fives are great communicators.


Inner and outer realities out of balance, fear of being a teacher, hard time expressing self, indulging with too much food, not enough exercise, not enough rest, self interested, lack of internal balance, reluctant to share what you know with others, If blocked it can affect all parts of the physical biological systems, there is a tendency to over sacrifices, non committed, inability to take in what another is saying, has hard time vocalising, poor communication skills, being overly verbal, talks without thinking, and may feel confined by other people or environments. The learning is that true freedom is found within oneself.


In a strength position, this can manifest as someone who has a natural gift for teaching. They have great endurance and health. Since they love to travel, they may have great experiences due to those adventures. They can be freedom fighters.

Half god half man (Think balance) capacity for balanced sacrifice teacher ability to balance all parts of your life flexible, eloquent speaker, share what you know with others freely, and can accept sacredness of their physical body. All parts of your life exist in an easy balance with each other wisdom, you are committed to speaking your truth, can communicate wisdom and have a capacity for deep listening and speaking things into being.


The physical body is the one we all relate to. Yogi Bhajan said that to earn a physical body you have to go through 8.4 million incarnations. He said that 8.4 million incarnations is equal to one light year.

MEDITATION

Prosperity Meditation.

This meditation, as its name indicates, brings prosperity to your life, an abundance of resources, and the ability to recognise opportunities.

Sit in a cross legged position. Bring the arms out with the elbows slightly in. Pull arms back and at the same time chant HAR, “the creative force”, while pulling the navel in. Look at the tip of your nose. 11 minutes.

Hematite is great for circulation and also gives one a strong-as-steel vibration. Tourmaline is great for digestion and connects us to humanity.
